I called them by their old english name of 'posset cloths'. But just bought myself a pack of a dozen cloth nappies to use (after advice from my big sister, who had her kids well before me)[/quote]

Thank you for the new name "Posset Cloths". Sounds so much better. I sewed flannel onto one side. I had washed the diapers before sewing. They look pretty but warped a bit. I am not going to worry about it. DD#2 tends to wash everything on hot and bleach the daylights out of them. She wanted me to dye the nappies but I was afraid the baby may have a reaction or they would look so faded from the repeated bleaching that is coming there way.
