Rita because even with a great surge protector, I don't want to take any chances with this hurricane/Noreaster... so I set aside a few hand stitching projects as part of my foul weather plan...
If I finish these projects, I still have socks I started knitting and never finished...

Hurricane Sandy has just made landfall on Cape May, NJ a few minutes ago so now we will start getting the really high winds in this area. There's been quite a bit of damage up and down the coast and you are right, Rita, with darkness having fallen, it will be even more difficult for people, even inland, to deal with power outages and even worse, rising tide, flooding and mature trees falling onto houses because of ground saturation. With tonight's full moon, high tide will be even higher than normal.
