Hi Rosemary! I did not come across correctly... I understood the 1/12th scale part. I was just scratching my head about how I could get the 8" block with its nine sub-blocks down to 0.6666667. :D What is the smallest you've seen someone make a block for a miniature? and was it still machine stitched or hand stitched? By the way, I still love your Caught Red-Handed quilt!

 we will get you into 1/12th scale yet, Renata!
   You'll have to explain to me what that really means... :D
it means that if something is originally 1' long you make it 1/12th of a foot long ie 1" so a quilt that is 6' x 6' would end up being 6" x 6"
My Caught Red Handed top - the original blocks were 6" x 6", but I scaled them down to 1/6th scale and made the center small ones 1" x 1". If I had scaled them down to 1/12th then the blocks would have finished at 1/2" x 1/2" - does it make sense now?

I finally got the pictures of the little beauties I bought in Houston from AAQI and I also completed a small quilt from my class with Judith Baker Montanno.

# 10,318 Free Falling by Victoria West from Pfleferville, TX
# 10,966 Hibiscus by JoAnn Stowell from Longview, wa

My new quilt is called Floating. I really enjoyed manipulating the different fabrics and plan to make another in the size for AAQI.

Another AAQI quilt (LOL Rosemary--another mini!). I wanted to see how Daniela Stout's method for making blocks from strips would work with one inch strips. I also wanted to try doing a two color binding with a flange. The picture needs turning around a bit so the middle block has the flowers looking up, but you get the idea...

Just read your blog. Go recycle Ireland. Hee Hee

I am very curious to see what you do with the crossstitch panel. It looks pale enough that some bright fabric or bright cording might pop wonderfully. Have fun. Clara
