I just bought a book called "The Fabric of Civilization" by Virginia Postrel. It shows how textiles drive civilization. I have only read 2 chapters, and I can't put it down even when reading late at night when I should be sleeping!

It would make a great gift for your quilting and sewing friends! Even guys!

It is available as a kindle book (that is, covid safe!) or as a hardcover.
