I did a deep search and finally found him. It's Phil Beaver, in case you are curious.

I am desperately trying to remember the name of the older gentleman who designed the fantastic wall hanging with the roosters and the large sunflowers. I can't remember if he wrote a book, but his roosters and sunflowers were very popular. Anything you can do to help me would be appreciated.
