I recently made a quilt using silk which also changes sheen directionally. So, silk looks great with any geometric pattern. However, since corduroy has a weight and nap similar to velveteen, any geometric quilt pattern that calls for corduroy would work great.

Looking for velveteen quilt pattern 19 Feb 2007 17:57 #1184

Hi,

Long before I even thought of quilting I saw an article in one of the women's magazines, something like Better Homes and Gardens or Womens Day or Family Circle. That would have been at least 20 years ago or more. It showed a quilt on a bed in a medium "tan" I think in a log cabin pattern. Since it was done in Velveteen, each time the fabric grain turned of course the color became lighter or darker. I would love to try it and probably will one day, but if anyone has the pattern or has had an experience using velveteen and taking advantage of the shading, I would love to hear about it.

Thanks
