FYI: I really struggled on my points for first block 2 compass. My fabric got weary of rip and sew, rip and sew. The C. Jenkins freezer paper would hold good on the larger pieces, not so much at the points. Then i remembered my QS fabric glue stick from sewing blocks with Alex last year. I don't know if this was a suggested tool for this BOM. But once I started using it, I got much better results.

I want to use this block as a tribute to my daughter and grand children. Can I make the center (larger point) from one color and the back points with 2 different colors in each alternating? I am using batiks..center would be Amethyst (daughter's birthstone), with Emerald and May (granddaughter's birthstone and month) as one wedge, then next wedge would be Citrine and November (grandson's birthstone and month) as the next wedge. I would alternate the two colored wedges around the purple center. Sorry for the length...
