Enjoy "Color My World" by Wendy Williams - This beautiful quilt is constructed of soft and textural shot cottons from Windham fabrics on a richly patterned background. It offers so many opportunities for personalization through both embellishment and quilting- you could add house numbers, decorations, people, pets, garden flowers- there are so many ways to make this quilt truly your own!

Let's use this Topic "Color My World Show and Tell" as a place to show off your beautiful work. That way, you know where to come to see what everyone is doing.

The topics that apply to each month are a good place to ask questions or make suggestions for each block.

AND when you post your photos to Social Media, like Instagram, Facebook, etc., use either of these hash tags so everyone there will be able to find our wonderful work:

Just to clarify one more time. Cut 3.5" strips, salvage to salvage, for all fabrics except the black (charcoal) used for the road, white (road stripes), and background. Does the 3..5 Strip also include the fabric to be used for the compass?

Libbi, only cut ONE strip of the building fabrics only, 3.5” wide. Use for the buildings. When you use up one entire strip, say of purple, cut another one. I am sure no one will use up any strips with these first 16 houses.

This is covered on my Month 1 blog. I highly recommend everyone read that Blog post for each month BEFORE cutting or starting any month’s work. It is the PRIMARY place I give all the most important things to know:

I would only cut one strip from each of your “house” fabrics. We don’t know what sizes the buildings and other objects will be. One strip from each is more than enough for month 1 houses.
