TOPIC: Do Not Sew Houses Together Yet

Do Not Sew Houses Together Yet 07 Jan 2021 12:25 #153117

I am seeing some houses that appear to be sewn together. If you are just basting them to be sure they make a quarter or half circle that is fine. I discussed this in my blog for Month 1, that came out on January 1.

In Month 4 the Trees are added to PAIRS of houses, then the pairs are sewn together. ultimately making the full circle. Adding the Trees to much larger sections will be more difficult.

There are 4 different house "designs"--we get Small Houses 3 and 4 in Month 3. Wendy recommends you alternate the 4 and arrange your colors in a way that pleases you. Waiting until you have all 32 houses made allows for that planning.

A few people said they were thinking of doing the four seasons or a changing sky background. Those ideas sound great, they will just require a lot of planning in fabric selection. We can look forward to seeing those.
