Here’s my houses for month 1, love how it’s turning out. I ended up doing normal fpp and my tip for keeping fabric in alignment while sewing is to use a little dab of fabric glue on the seams. So much quicker than trying to hold and see or use pins to avoid shifting.

Ames, your houses look great. Love the fabric choices.
So many of you quilters are accomplishing so much!
I'm barely finished with one house...having trouble with the freezer paper...my machine is acting up...but I'm not giving up....yet.

Katiewells, yes, scroll down in this topic for photos.

I made 3 houses today using the #10 Edgestitch foot and what a treat! Wish I had thought to try that last May when I was making the sample/test quilt. Fast and accurate, really a great help.

I have found the edge stitch foot to be absolutely fabulous. Much easier to get accurate seams. Thank you to the person who suggested trying this foot. I have got 4 houses made but can't add the background fabric as I am still waiting for it to arrive, probable end of month.

Are using the #10 foot for the freezer paper piecing?

Helen, don't worry, they’re going to be fine! I basted them together and made a tiny adjustment in a couple of the seams just to make sure it will be possible to make it a quarter circle. They’re not pressed because I want to take it apart and put it together again when all the houses are done. Thanks again!

These are my houses reduced to 60%. They are 6 3/4 in. tall. Thanks to Helen for her helpful instructions they are working out. Also, the stitch in the ditch foot was a great suggestion from the forum and I used the little clover iron as the pieces are so small. It's a great way to make use of scraps.... necessary since where I live everything is closed for lockdown.

Lynnanne, Your houses are so cute!!! Try a little experiment and pin them together on the sewing line and see if they make a quarter circle. All the small house wedges are the
same size. I did a paper mock up of a half circle this morning and at 60 % the circle was short of being 180degrees.HelenW

Thanks so much for posting this. I haven't chosen my background yet and this opens up a lot of other possibilities in my mind. Good to see what a busier background looks like. It looks great!
