PatMac99, I will probably do regular paper piecing , just because doing a circle without the security of having the lines on the seam allowance of outer edge makes me real
nervous. When 360 degree circles come out short or too much, it won't lay flat. I normally leave the paper on when connecting units, like the wedges, and you can sew two
wedges together and look at the bottom piece after stitching and see if it is right on the line or narrow, or wide. That is why I love paper piecing for accuracy!!! HelenW

I made the small houses yesterday. I have a picture of them. I enjoyed learning the freezer paper technique. I got the hang of it by the second one. Yay!

I finished my 16 houses. My 5 year old grandson picked the colors for each house. He got really involved. Maybe a future quilter in the making!

Roxanne, when I placed the bottom edges of House 1 and 2 on top of each other, there was about 1/16" difference in width. The 1" scale on both pages is the same. There is only a slight difference at the top edge. I don't know if this will affect the final results or not but 8 times 1/16" equals 1/2". That's why I decided to redraw them for my 75% size version, plus I wanted to use 1/8" measurements to make it easier to assemble without paper.

Roxanne, The wedge size including the seam allowance would be the same size for the 32 small houses. HelenW

I have not seen the houses to print on the site. I know there was a problem but it appears people have it. How can I get the download?

Make sure you are logged in as a Star Member. The patterns are under LEARN: BOM: 2021. Some find it easier to access under Classrooms.

If you still can't access that pattern and are sure you are logged in as a Star Member., please put a post on the Topic: UPDATE ON WEBSITE ISSUES. That is the topic that is being monitored for problems of Star members.

Thanks.

I have almost one house done, but the little bits and wax and all the rest of it is making me insane. I'll try to do another one, but I think bonding windows and doors and whatnot are definitely in my future.

I also intend to add some parks as I live in a rural area, but that’s for another day!
