Join us on a TQS exclusive 12-month creative journey along America’s backcountry roads as we bring you "The Patchwork Barn Quilt," a fabulous quilt designed especially for TQS by Edyta Sitar. A spectacular medallion quilt featuring a barn nestled amongst rows of ‘crops’ (blocks). Edyta’s design inspiration was the result of observing the painted quilt blocks on the side of barns as she traveled across the country.
Known for her love of colorfully elegant scrap quilts, Edyta has this time, used her magic touch by combining a wide variety of blue and cream fabrics set against a creamy background. The resulting design is a stunning, but quieter scrap quilt that is sure to be a family favorite for generations to come. Each month we will provide photos, detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, and full-size patterns.

Triangle Paper for the Patchwork Barn BOM

Hi, joined this Forum late - and am behind on my Blocks.
I have ordered Triangle Paper, but here is another website where you can download various sizes of HST and Flying Geese papers for paper piecing. I wish they had one for the 4 FQ in a row.
1.5" and 2" finished triangles are used in some of the blocks, some have no triangles at all, and some are larger. Having these papers on hand will be helpful for some of the blocks but I recommend you not try to get "ahead" by making up a bunch of these two sizes right now. Some people love paper piecing, some are not fans--the beauty of a project like this is you get to use the methods you prefer.
Thanks, that helps us get ready. Just wish I could start on the Appliqué for the center block. I will use needleturn with my own fabric, so getting all the Appliqué at the end means I probably won’t finish this until the end of 2019. But what a wonderful journey it is!

Just got an answer to my own question from Laundry Basket Quilts.
Edyta recommended 1 1/2" finish triangle papers and 2" finish triangle papers. These are for finished size triangles.
Hope this helps someone else.

Barbara,
Do you happen to know what size triangles are mostly used in the Blue Barn BOM?
I like using triangle papers. I would like to place an order for triangle papers that would be most useful for the BOM.
Thank you,
Judy Austin
