PamNewman, that information won't be available to us until the very end.

However, the quilt is 86" square. So, if you guess the last borders are maybe 5" wide each (they may be more or less than that, I don't know) that would make the final red floater about 76". If you buy 2.5 yards, you'll have 90" which would be plenty. You would not have to piece the floaters and can use the extra fabric for the binding.

Just a thought...

How much material would I need for the last red floater border between flying geese and DM blocks? The reason I ask is when I purchased my material at the Orlando Quilt show a couple of weeks ago, they just had one yard cuts and I got 3 one yard cuts. I've contacted the vendor and can get yardage of this. Since we need to cut these floaters parallel to the selvage, how much material do I need to order to do this without having the piece it. I don't really like this fabric so I don't want to order any more than I actually need. I need to order this week before they run out of the material. Thanks.
