Join us on a TQS exclusive 12-month journey into the land of childhood memory with a charming quilt designed especially for TQS by internationally-known Australian designer Lynette Anderson. Lynette combines simple, unpretentious folk art style appliqué motifs with patchwork blocks for a quilt that will be lots of fun to make. Each month we will provide photos, detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, and full-size patterns. We will once again be offering monthly companion teaching videos as well. It all makes for a year of fun and learning!
Outline stitch and stem stitch are pretty much the same thing except one of them 'cables' lefthandedly and the other 'cables' righthandedly (cannot remember which way round it is) Also they are the reverse side of back stitch - so you could say that you have done stem stitch after all

I just realised I have used back stitch for the windows rather than outline stitch - is outline stitch the same as stem stitch? Well I will leave it anyway. I also used dark grey thread rather than black.

Hi I am ready to begin the embroidery portion of the 2015 BOM. How many strands of floss do I use? I am guessing 2, but it woukd be good to know what Lynette recommends. Thanks
