Thanks Andree, that was exactly what I was looking for. Glad you were able to understand my rather garbled question.
I can now go ahead and after cutting the longest strips I can sash my blocks.

Did I see somewhere the measurements for the strips on either side and top and bottom of BOM2014?
I have a limited amount of fabric and would like my sashing strips and inner border to be the same fabric so would like to cut the border first.
Does any of this make sense?????

Am I not reading something correctly or do the instructions say to sew the 14 1/2 inch strip of sashing to the left side of the "B" panel but show it on the right? I followed the picture and then read the instructions.
