Designed exclusively for members of TQS, the 69"x 82" quilt is a playful yet sophisticated sampler. Each letter in the alphabet has its own panel, where it's combined with a related pieced or appliquéd block. Make one for the child in your life, or make one for the child in you!

TOPIC: Flying Geese - Step 3?

Re: Flying Geese - Step 3? 19 Feb 2014 15:01 #115832

Never mind . . . (for those of you who have heard Gilda Radner's news lady on SNL)

Previously was reading the instructions and was stuck :o P by not seeing the step 3 words. Followed the picture instructions (which all of you negotiated without needing to call for help). Anyway, it's good to know you are all out there.

Flying Geese - Step 3? 19 Feb 2014 14:20 #115830

My set of instructions for the flying geese blocks has on page 8 - steps 1 & 2; page 9 - steps 4 & 5 . . . no step 3. I checked on the site to see if it has been replaced since I downloaded my directions (about 2 weeks ago) and it is the one I presently have. :?

I will work on the Army Star in the mean time. Finished Grandma's Choice block this morning and am very happy with it! :D

I started in February and Superior is out of the thread kit. While I wait for that I will catch up on the piecing then concentrate on letter applique when the beautiful threads arrive.
