Rosamond, I don't have a 440 but I found online the stitch charts for the 440 at http://creativeandhandcrafted.wordpress.com/tag/bernina-stitch-chart/. This might help you identify your desired stitch on the 880. Hope this helps.

Can someone with a Bernina 440 please tell me what the #161 stitch looks like? I have the 880 and my #161 stitch is a decorative flower stitch. In earlier instructions from Janet, she mentioned that she uses stitch #161 on her 440 for stems, tree trunks, and basket handles. I'm wondering if it is a single blanket stitch. Does anyone know? Janet?????

Thanks.
Rosamond
