It's aggravating when you can't get it like you want isn't it? Do you have a manual for your printer? My Lexmark is the only one I've ever used. If you can't find your manual you could probly download one from their website. The only thiing I know to tell you is to keep playing with the settings in the printer. Can you set everything back to the default settings and start over? There really is alot of trial and error and experimenting till you get the result you're looking for. I'll send you my email address-send me yours and I can show you "snippets" of what I see when I'm setting my printer preferences.

Sherry, I purchased and watch 211 with Beth Wheeler, Wow , how beautiful.

Anyway, I took my picture and sat the saturation level at +25 , then copy and pasted to microsoft word, hit print, then in print I put the saturation at +25 also, Best Photo, Heavy Matted paper and still the photo came out as black and yellows ( no reds and blues and colors) I did notice that when I went into the printer property and did the saturation that all of the colors , such as yellow and magenta, cyan , etc had no setting, they were at zero. I would assume that they would automatically be set to something, Could that be way there is no color in the photo when printing out?

Thanks so much, Sherry. I will check it out. I went to Gimp ( I actually paid to update PhotoImpression 6.5 Gold, but cant do anything with it, so downloaded Gimp) and put the saturation to +20 and increased the brightness and printed it out to 8x10 and it still came out with no color except black and white.

I guess I need to learn but trying. Will check out that episode now, Thanks alot

Hi Charlene! Have you checked out episode 211 with Beth Wheeler? She does a great demo about printing on fabric, and has a book called "Altered Photo Artistry". Printing on fabric is my favorite thing to do! I set my printer preferences to best quality and heavy matte paper. Before I print I make adjustments to the photo in photoshop. I increase the color saturation and the contrast. Printing on fabric really eats up the ink but I'm hooked!

Printing a photo on to pretreated bubble ink muslin. Can anyone tell me what resolution my printer should be set on ?

I have a epson cx3800 , and have it set to Best Photo . Tried printing it on the pretreated muslin and it came out too light, then darkened it and priint it out on printer paper and it came out with a yellow cast to it.

Charlene :)
