How complex do you want the pattern to be? If you like foundation piecing, have a look at the magnificent Bella Bella quilt that Mary Kay made, see-quilts/show-and-tell-quilts/

on this site they have various patterns that I believe are public domain. so have fun browsing, you can alos sign up for the newsletter. Last month was a block a day. Really full of inspiration. Especially, the oversized blocks, they can alway be set surrounded by smaller standard sized blocks until the desired finish size is met. Best of luck!

I'm soon to be ready to make my son and daughter-in-law's quilt. My daughter-in-law wants to use chocolate and turquoise but she doesn't have an idea what pattern. They have a queen size bed and my quilts are usually large so if you have some ideas or you can refer me to your profile of some examples that would be great.
