Unfortunately they have tried disconnecting and reconnecting foot pedal and Start/stop button on and off, but nothing is working to stop it. Looks like it's off to the Bernina dealer.

I've had my Bernina Artista 200 do that while using it before. I shut off the power, waited a minute, and turned it on again. Sort of like needing to restart a computer when it locks up.

I hope you can get this figured out!

Hi All,
I recently sold my Bernina 710, but on arrival at its new owner's home, which is quite a distance from here, unfortunately when the machine was plugged in it began running flat out when being used with the foot controller or the start/stop button. It was working beautifully before it was sent by Australia Post. I'm just wondering has anyone else experienced this fault and if there are any suggestions re this problem. Thanks everyone.
