I would "walk" some fabric through it after you oiled it just to remove any excesses. I oiled my older walking foot that way once and it never squeaked again. My newer one doesn't squeak, but it would really bug me if it did.

Hello ladies I have a solution for you.........................

I work in a Bernina shop in W Australia and have always been a Bernina 'NUT". I asked my boss and very respected Bernina technician the question and this was his reply.
Hopefully this will do the trick.
'All you need to do is, from the lower side of the foot put some machine oil on the working/moving parts that can be seen from the bottom side which is open. If this is difficult to do then it can be sprayed lightly with silicon oil from the lower side, and this should also stop the mouse in the house….........'

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to all THE QUILT SHOW members. Let's make 2017 a TIME TO SEW!!!!!!!
Regards,
Heather

The walking foot for my Bernina 550 squeaks too. It has squeaked since the day I bought my machine other than that it works great. Glad to know that it's not just me.

I have a 9 1/2 year old Bernina 730 and bought a walking foot for it several years ago. It has always squeaked. I'm not sure why and didn't want to attempt to oil it as I worry about ruining my fabric. I'd be interested to hear what you find out from your dealer. I plan to take my walking foot in and ask the local dealer about it when I take the machine in for it's regular cleaning. Also, my walking foot doesn't sit straight on the throat plate therefore making the 1/2", 1/4" and 1/8" marks incorrect and different on each side of the foot. I've just been eyeballing the sewing lines. I do like the walking foot. It does a much better job of feeding the fabric than the regular foot. I don't have dual feed on my Bernina. It's too old!

My Bernina walking foot (2 years old) does not squeak. That would be irritating. Are you very far from your dealer? I would take it back.

Weird! I have a older walking foot that just chugs right along, but if yours is brand new and squeaking, I would give the place I bought it from a call and get it replaced with the non squeaking vertion.

I have a Bernina 750QE and recently purchased a walking foot after several people in the beginners forum advised it worked better that the dual feed for in the ditch stitching. They were right! I like the way it works ... but it has a really annoying squeak. I do not find any instructions for oiling it, but it sounds like that is what it needs. Any advice?
