TOPIC: 820/830 trolley suitcase bag

Thanks so much for the tip. I will Google the case & pass it on. I don't want to have to remove any parts unless it is absolutely necessary.

I don't know about the power cord and foot pedal, but I do know that the threadstand has to come off.

That ruled this case out for me, that's just too inconvenient. Most are going with the XXL Tutto.

820/830 trolley suitcase bag 22 Feb 2010 07:20 #43769

A good friend of mine in the US also owns an 830. We both want to purchase the new 820/830 Bernina trolley suitcase bag on wheels for our machines. As you know they are really heavy to transport (to the dealers or long retreats- we go on one each summer for 2 weeks).

Her dealer had a case so they tried to fit her machine into it. She told me that the machine fit was so tight that they had to take off the side thread holder & that the power cord & foot pedal would not fit when they tried to zip up the case.

Do any of you have one? Is she trying to put the machine in incorrectly?

On another note, the US price is $299 & our Can. price will be $999. I am told that this is a Bernina market numbers thing. They set the price in the different markets according to population! This item I will be buying in the US if we can work out the challenges of the design.
