Also never had this happen. However, the BSR should be taken in along with your machine when you have it cleaned/serviced. Like the machine, the BSR can require a computer update. Give your service gal/guy a call about this, they may have a suggestion.

I use BSR 1 and haven't had this happen at all on my 440. I've used it a lot and it seems pretty consistent. Have you called your dealer?

I think I may have put my question in incorrectly, in post a reply, rather than new topic, so I will post it again under new topic, altho it is about the BSR:
I have it on BSR1, as recommended in one or several writeups on tips, I have the speed on the fastest setting- when i go to press the start, it sometimes goes at a fairly even moderate pace, other times, it will start and go very very fast, can't figure this out- have had to take out stitches because I am geared to go at the slower pace and all of a sudden it goes real fast (when I restart to quilt, my machine is on, I am pushing the start and stop button because I am moving the quilt around)
