Yes, I got an extra attachment for $10 & put it on my other machine. It is fabulous & worth every penny.

O M G I have been using a small flash light when I fiddle with the bobbin. I am going to move my attached light to the bottom. I did look on your site and that is a great idea.
Thanks. Norina

I just got one while in Houston and WHAT a difference it makes! You stick the part that holds the light to your machine and that stays put. If you want to move it to another machine you can remove just the lamp part and get a second sticky holder for that machine. Karen

I have seen those lights around. How do they mount to the machine; can they be taken off and put back on or used on another machine?

I really like this idea. I use a bendable light attached on top for more light but did not think of one to help on the threading. I will try it. :D

I don't know if the 820 owners have the same "difficulty" as 830 owners who need to thread the bobbin area differently for embroidery but I will provide this tip for lighting the bobbin area and usng the dental pick to see if the bobbin is threaded correctly. Some people have recommended a lighted dental pick which is cheaper than my solution. However I had a Bendable Bright Light left over from my 630 days sitting in a drawer since the lighting on the 830 is terrific. So I mounted it beneath the 830 table to light the area. No more 3 hands! I put a photo in my profile.
