Geneva - wonderful picture of your grands!

Glad to hear you all presented your DH his Quilt of Valor. I imagine it was s big hit.

We were in Seattle and Ellensburg last week primarily to tour the UW and Central campuses with our Los Alamitos granddaughters. (Once again our paths not crossing).

Rosemary, your work is amazing!

My family and I presented my husband with his Quilt of Valor this past week. It was a beautiful time for all.

The family has come and gone. We had so much fun! Here are the six grandkids. We were watching them while their parents went wine tasting.

Is the Kogan embroidery German. Looks interesting
No it is Japanese. My branch of EG had a day school with Elizabeth Almond from www.blackworkjourney.co.uk/ and great fun it was too (the cake was particularly spectacular as well - a baileys poke cake)

What a great picture of Izzy!

We’re having a quiet ‘divorce anniversary’ day here I expect it will be noisy after 9:00 PM this evening.

Not much quilting or patchwork going on here but I have done a small piece of kogin embroidery and finished it!

All the best to my American friends on their ‘divorce anniversary’ day :P

I expect that - no matter how professional and hard-working Justin and Ricky are - a lot of 'non-urgent stuff' will have to wait. The boys need time to sort out their life once that horrendous fire around their hometown is out.

Rosemary, sending healing thoughts and strength for your mum. hope all going to be good soon. will keep her in my thoughts.
the best of luck to Izzy for art college - yes - sewing with crossed fingers is a bit tricky - but with a good imagination and lots of determination it is all possible - will do the same!

Wendy & Geneva - love your garden mates - yup keep them happy and safe

everyone: hope everyone finds lots of good things to enjoy and can find happy places to retreat to to gather strength when the untoward appears. hugs to all!

Bugerit!  I missed the closing date for entering FoQ this year - fussen, wussen, dussen! Too busy concentrating on Izzy’s prom date  . Oh well, I guess it gives me longer to finish the quilt

Mum is feeling better, she spent just over a week in hospital, but they have worked out the problem( blocked artery), then kicked her out with lots of tablets that seem to be helping, and she still needs some other scans so they can decide which solution to use for the long term. Hope to go visit next (as opposed to ‘this’) weekend.

Also keeping fingers crossed for Izzy as she has an interview next week to try and get into art college for the next two years instead of Sixth Form at her current school. (It will make sewing tricky, but mum’s are gifted like that :P )

:cheer: :cheer: Well they are pink or just blushing at having their pic taken. I was wondering if they ever entertain.
Dibi Steamtrack would love to visit and get acquainted.

Bit dirty but habits are clean. He has to stay behind the henhouse, he's facing eviction by my old man.

Congratulations Rosemary! BTW, how's your mum doing?

Thanks for the warm thoughts everyone. They make me feel better.

Wendy, I had to convince Horace and Maude that I wasn't taking their picture to put out into internet space where someone would photoshop them into a compromising situation. ;) They are so picky! Horace is the head heenyhonker of the International Order of Odd Fellows and Maude is a Worthy Matron, so they work hard to keep their personal lives without a hint of scandal. (I think this is why my children wanted a dog!) Here are Horace and Maude sitting by the soon to bloom hibiscus plant. The large pink flowers that will bloom accentuates their beauty.

hahaha... laugh or go crazy.... I'll be binding the hugs and kisses quilt today. Take care all, geneva
