WOWZA, Dawn. My favorite color scheme (one of them) . I LOVE the contrast between the points in most of the blocks and the teardrop shapes in the corners. May I say it again? WOWZA!

Splat looks wonderful, well done Dawn.

As for miniature quilts in show, make sure you read the rules for the specific show you are entering it into. Phillips Naylor's entry got rejected from FoQ the year I entered because it was too large at 12.5"!

Thanks, Sherry! Are you going to able to come up/over to our quilt show in September again this year? It will be the 22nd and 23rd. You can find me.....where else......the Featured Quilter's booth. This is going to be so much fun! What an honor! I'm hoping my hummingbird quilt will be back from Hoffman in time for it, too. Way cool!

Thanks again, SO much, everyone! Yes, Geneva I think an unusual name helps a quilt get remembered. Your other one that comes to mind is Jolly Rancher. Now, if you had named it something like "Colorful!" I would never have remembered that one. One of the objections to SPLAT was from a friend who lives near the beach ....... and birds. So, she can relate the name to something specific. And, I don't see that as a bad thing. A bug goes splat into my windshield, an egg goes splat onto the floor, paint, blood, oil,.......everyone will be able to relate in some way. I love it! SPLAT! it shall be!

Also, I am having it quilted by an excellent longarmer. Then maybe I can send it on to lots of shows. Thinking big here, since it is probably the largest quilt I have ever made, at 75" x 85".

Hey there, Nancy! I've missed your smiling face!
And, Cathy, I did receive your row. Just waiting for a nice sunny day to take a picture of it. The fabrics are awesome! I especially love the glitter!

Yes, Dawn, I love Splat too. Beautiful quilt.
Luann, love your quilt too. Wish mine was finished. :( Hopefully by Christmas as it has Christmasy colors in it.

Dawn, splat is a marvelous quilt! I love it!

In my experience, a quilt with an unusual name gets more attention. (June Cleaver on Acid comes to mind.) ;)
Go with the name you choose. You birthed that baby! And all your TQS friends like it. B)

Beautiful quilt! Fun name!

Beautiful quilt, Dawn!! I like the name "Splat", but if you don't like that, then maybe "Splash" would be okay with your friends? Or "Splish, Splash"?

Thanks, ladies! Yes and no, to being my own design. It it a Judy Niemeyer pattern (Raindrops) that I altered. And, then I added the "feather" appliqués. Or, droplets. I thought I'd call it SPLAT, but a couple of friends were not too fond of that name. Opinions? Suggestions?

And, I forgot to tell you Luann, the colors you chose for your large quilt are really pretty!
