Well Rosemary, you do have a bit of organizing to do. But it should be well worth the effort. I hate cleaning/reorganizing, no matter what you call it! Good luck.

And I can't wait to tell my husband and 2 of our kids that they are cack handed! They think I'm a bit dotty anyway.... And Wendy, I'll be sure to remember what cack is. Surely when the grandkids are here we'll see some cack left by the critters. Their parents just love it when I teach them new stuff..... haha

On the sewing front I pulled out 2 ufos and am currently attempting to combine them. I just may succeed!

Take care everyone and have a great week!

Dorothy, where are you in Montana. I live in Heron (my closest town is Sandpoint, ID).

And this corner I am plotting to replace with a tall bookshelf (2 metres tall, which is approx 6'6") which hopefully will hold a lot of the stuff there plus some more AND make it easier to get at my fabric! DH is hoping that I will also have a mega slinging out session :pinch:

Well spiders have certainly been leaving a mess behind in the sewing room. I think that sweeping the walls has to be pretty near the top of my 'not favourite to do list'...

As an addendum to the UK/USA translation notes, to be cack-handed has nothing to do with animals, but is usually a reference to someone who is left handed, and thus is not good at using their right hand for most things.

Beautiful. The colours really pop against the black background.

Although I love my "overseas" TQS friends for many things, not the least of which are their amazing quilts, I am especially fond of the new terms I learn. I've started using "tickety boo" and now I can insert "cack" into my vernacular. Being at "sixes and sevens" is a daily occurrence for me, I think. Hopefully these all mean what I think they mean! ;)

PS. Rosemary, go for it!

PPS. A favorite saying my mom always used is "I'm so tired I don't know if I'm swimming or winding my watch."

The sewing room is at sixes and sevens, the guest bed won't bed found for I don't know how long, BUT I do have easy access to a corner that I don't normally get to, and I am going to give it a thorough going through to see what really needs keeping hopefully not all of it. My other delight is that I have found my Quilt museum panel that I was planning onusing as my centre panel of this years bom :woohoo: I now no longer have any excuse that I cannot start it apart from the fact that the sewing table is in nearly as deep a pile of 'cack' as the guest bed :side:
