I have a panel that is the length of 42 by 2/3rds of a yard.It has cars and trucks and roads and buildings. I bought 4 fat quarters and was thinking of doing half square triangle borders, but bricks could work. I see you can get 12 5" squares out of a fat quarter. There was a nice tutorial from gourmetquilter.com using 2 fat quarters in a checkerboard pattern and borders that made a nice little quilt. You'd need about 10 5" squares along each side So you could do 2 rows on each side with 4 fats. I was going to back it with minky. Thanks for any ideas. It's for a boy who's 1 and his brother who is 6ish. I was going to do a busy book for the little one but I only have a week.
