Connie the link you posted made me feel virtuous and more in control of my quilt mania.

Happy New Year to all my TQS Forum friends! Still working on my 2015 wish list, but it does include learning EQ7 and trying to acquire some kind of graphic design skills on the computer. Maybe this way I can exercise my need to play with color and pattern without having to buy so much fabric!

I'm with all of you having UFO angst. However, my stack pales in comparison with some!

That's quite a collection of UFOs!

Yes, I can relate to all of the above.

These are the 4 fabrics I removed from my house quilt for now: 1, 3, 6, 13. Of course that may change after I get the blocks made and the arrangement isn't guaranteed, but it's a start. The pieces are cut and ready to sew.

I hope everyone is keeping warm on this 1st day of the New Year and getting lots of sewing done.

All right, I am revising my New Year's resolution...No more shopping of anything sewing related!!! One of many resolutions, is to clean/organize my sewing room..as I clean, I realize that I have more fabric, patterns, thread, stabilizer, sewing machines, books, etc, etc, etc then I could possibly need, (god forbid I ever throw anything away!) It seems the older I get, the more I seem to inherit, and of course the more disposable income I have, what with the kids having left the nest, the more I buy...I'm becoming one of those sewing hoarder people!!! Can you relate?

I want to wish all my TQS Buddies a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hubby and I are going to curl up on the couch and watch a movie alone. Munchkins are spending the night at a friends house. Bonus surprise. So, I'm outta here.

Here's to much talking and sharing about quilts in 2015.

WOO HOO!!!! :woohoo:

I'm in charge of our guild's 2015 challenge/contest "UFOs to IFFIs" and I'm sure I have at least a dozen quilts ranging from unfinished small class projects to lap quilts and wall hangings that I can put on my list. This reminds me that I need to start gathering them all up for easy access and prioritizing. I will also try to finish this year's class projects as I go along. And I will reduce the number of workshops I sign up for. I wish for us all the gift of time to quilt! All the best to all of you.

Good for you, Clara. I'm behind you all the way! You could try writing too, as you're very good at expressing yourself, at least on here.

Rosemary - that's a brilliant idea - SRP - Stash Relocation Programme!
Put my name on the top of the list!

BTW a few local gals got together and had a 'garage sale' of fabric and quilt related things. They succeeded in dwindling their stash - I guess so they could buy more, or just to be able to see the floors in their homes! It was very successful.

Are you suggesting a stash relocation programme for this year for anyone that needs a particular fabric to finish ufo's but doesn't want to buy anything?

Of course, I have UFO's, and still working on them from last year. I'd like to try the BOM this year with TQS - all from my stash.

And that is another resolution, actually the most serious one - do not buy any more fabric unless all my UFO's are finished. Yikes! That's a tough one, but I am determined. I will buy new tools, rulers Olfa blades etc, but not fabric.

However, I will accept donations of fabric at any time. It's just I don't want to buy anymore. For now. :)
