You need to contact the company that made the batting. Is it Hobbs or Quilters Dream? Those are the most common companies who make wool batting. They both have websites and will know the answer if you contact them.

In general, though, I would never wash wool batting with any hot water or use any heat when drying... hot temps will felt the wool. Safest bet will be to wash in cold water and tumble on air or low. But perhaps warm would be okay, so still I'd ask. Oh, and don't iron it either!

I have just used Hobbs Tuscany wool which is prewashed and it still shrunk a cm on a 24 " quilt. Perhaps ask at the shop where you got it?
