universalpuzzle OFFLINE Posts: 1	I use a soldering iron to cut...BUT. The smell is terrible, do this outside and cut on glass or something that won't melt. Really you should use a mask that is filtered. I used organza on a ministers cope.. Looked great but I had a terrible headache. Next time I will get the right mask before I do it again. Judyc OFFLINE Posts: 23	Helene123 I went to Esterita Austin's site and found that she had a print on canvas of one of my favorite quilts for sale. I got it today and am thrilled to have found it. Couldn't find any books by her listed or online classes but thank you so much for steering me to her site.

Helene123 OFFLINE Posts: 3	Esterita Austin uses organza on some of her quilts to show glass. She has a very interesting technique. You would have to take one of her classes to learn ii. You might also want to contact her go to her website.

Judyc OFFLINE Posts: 23	She is one of the quilt artists I was so fascinated by. Saw her work in an art quilt book and went to her site. She actually sales a kit for an organza quilt. I'm hoping to order one. Would love to see her on the show. I've never seen a photo of her sheer quilts and can't "picture" it.
