Surrounding her are the memories my children have from annual visits to see their grandparents who live on Cape Cod. When Alex proposed having interesting hats, I thought immediately that my mom could have a sand bucket on her head in memory of many trips to the beach. I've included some of the things I love and that are important to me, I plan to quilt in the names of my two daughters (next to the #2), and my three grandchildren (next to the #3). This has been a fun project and I may try my hand at another; maybe something wild and wacky. Who knows!
