Hi DebbiG, Yes I have added the 4 corner triangles. I cut squares of Kaffe seven and a quarter inches then cut from corner to corner making 4 triangles. They fit the blocks beautifully, good luck!

Hi Mrsreyes. I’m going to do something similar with black strips I think, but I’ve already added the Kaffe fabric so it will be quite different. Like you I feel it needs some black. Yours look lovely!

I finished the pinwheel variation and the star of hope this evening. I'm still behind but when I finished the star of hope, I held it up to admire the finished block. Boy, was I surprised  I attached the bottom row upside-down!
I fixed it and here it is.

mrsreyes - I would bring the black squares together - a dynamic secondary pattern. But a pain to piece. And they look great floating. So do what you like best?

Diane Ross - what a great quilt! I think you succeeded spectacularly! I can't make myself go to a pink and blue block, and I don't think there's a force on earth that could make me do that!

My quilt told me it was time to finish. I met my challenge - to work with a color I don't normally care for (purple) and feature it in a project. It's a nice size for a lap quilt. Now I just need to piece a backing, and get it off to the long-armer. Overall, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, and more likely to use purple in future projects.

Here are my two blocks, Star of Hope and Dutchman's Puzzle, with the Brassica that will surround each block and which were used for the color inspiration

Love everyone's setting ideas and all the colorful precise blocks! I feel mine needs some place for eyes to rest so am thinking about color blocking some varied sashing around a combo of 2 pieced and 2 background fabric (not Kaffe) blocks. First attempt at the idea...

Jillypea, Have you added the Kaffe corners to each on-point block? What size are those triangles, please? I like the stripe look. Thanks.

Looks like the Dutchmans puzzle block is flying the wrong direction on one of the sections.

I am just starting to choose colors and Kaffe fabrics to begin this project. I've got a huge amount of his fabrics, and I have to say that I love the variety that I'm seeing. I really appreciate the use of more than the Brassica fabric lines, and those of you who have chosen not to use Kaffe have some stellar choices as well! I absolutely LOVE the Jane Sassamon quilt. You are all doing amazing work!

Kenny - I think that the morning glory prints you've used actually are Kaffe! I have that Orange and fuschia combination in my stash, LOTS of it because I am going to use it on the By Annie ruler caddy.
