On Dec 24, Libby was moved to TIRR Memorial Hospital. This is the facility where Representative Gabrielle Giffords went through rehabilitation. This is an amazing place and only takes "qualified" candidates who they feel can make great strides toward recovery. Here is part of a current report:
What a fun day for Libby! Lester reported the following:
"Libby is resting after a Saturday that included a cooking class making white chocolate covered pretzels, participation in a volleyball balloon tournament, and a live guitar concert, all organized by T.I.R.R.. It was a very busy, busy Saturday at T.I.R.R."
When my daughter, Elizabeth (visiting us in Houston with her husband and their three children from Manhattan for the holidays), and I saw Libby in the late afternoon, Lester was there after spending a full day at T.I.R.R., and he and Libby were still talking about all of the activities of the day. Lester said Libby was a "star" in the balloon volleyball game in her wheelchair. While he said this, Libby was rolling her eyes and saying "big whoop - BALLOON volleyball.". more

The TQS Zoom Quilt is Bless My Sweet Home by Tomoko Endo. Tomoko's quilt won 1st place, Handmade, at IQF Houston 2013.
Artist's Statement: "While I making my quilt, the big earthquake happened in my town on March 11, 2011. It was a terrible natural disaster, but I realized that I had a wonderful family and friends. I tried to put so those feelings in this quilt."
This quilt is hand pieced, appliqued, embroidered and quilted.

So meet Shelly (below the sewing machine) and take a look a some of the best toys from 1890-2000. You will see machines from around the world, including Russia.
