The National Quilt Museum is asking for your help. On December 1st they began their 2013 Year-End Fundraising Campaign and a generous Museum supporter has agreed to match all of the year-end donations received between now and 1/31/14.  This means that all money donated will be matched dollar for dollar!

The Museum has had one of its most successful years ever. Over 115,000 people viewed their in-musuem and travelling exhibits in 2013.  The Museum was visited by quilters and art enthusiasts from all 50 US states and over 40 foreign countries.

For the cost of a few yards of fabric you can show your support for the Museum's work and the quilting community as a whole.

The Quiltmaker by Jennifer Bowker won Honorable Mention at IQF Houston 2013 in the Art-People, Portraits, and Figures category. 

Artist's Statement:

I wanted to honor Margaret Rolfe, the founder of the first Australian Quilt Guild, Canberra Quilters, and author of many books on quilting. Her designs for Australian flowers, houses, and animals brought Australia into the quilting world.  She views a quilt landscape that melds traditional blocks with her designs.

Patterns for Month 1 of the 2014 BOM are now available for Star Members to download on January 1st.  The first three blocks are the letters "A," "F," and "G."

Also available is the Month 1 instructional video featuring Julie Cefalu giving you tips for creating accurate seam allowances, making flying geese and lining up the points on your pinwheels.
