Making your on the go quilting even more fun with this cool new tool designed by (and patent pending!) quilt artist (Episode 1507) Cheryl S.See.  We know you are going to love it as much as we do.

The Quilt Scroll ™ offers:

  • generous storage for basic quilting supplies like, needles, thimble and multiple spools of thread.
  • a hole in the end cap that allows thread to be dispensed easily.
  • a dual-purpose handle that changes the Quilt Scroll ™ from a portable design mat to a temporary design wall.
  • a way to tuck pins and needles under the Velcro tabs. You can also thread multiple needles at home where the light is good before you quilt on-the-go.
  • a spot on the label that can be used to hold a small pair of scissors.

Not sure what this tool is about, check out the video and we know you will be hooked.

We only have a limited amount (and there is one less because Alex bought one) in stock, so get them while they last.

Join us in Episode 1508 as we explore new techniques  with mixed-media textile artist Valerie C. White who reveals the pleasures and rewards of creating prayer flags from leftover fabric scraps. Valerie, one of 44 artists invited by the Historical Society Museum in Washington, DC, to create a quilt celebrating the 2008 election of Barack Obama, shows how she produces her thoughtfully constructed little (5" x 11") artworks, and shares ideas for enhancing them with hand and machine stitching, paint sticks, watercolor pencils, and markers.

Then we switch gears for a field visit with busy Oregon quilter Elizabeth Hartman. Elizabeth - known for her clean modern style, use of bright color, and masterful handling of negative space, demos her favorite technique for making pieced letters.

Nina McVeigh, one of  BERNINA's Educational  Video instructors, has created a pattern for two scissors cases.  These simple cases give you the opportunity to use the "Mock Quilting Stitch" and the Binder attachment on your BERNINA.

Of course, you can still do it by hand!
