Yes these pictures have been on the internet, but we felt that quilters should take a closer look. The colors and combinations could end up in your next quilt. We like them better than the Pantone choices. Click below to see the slideshow of color choices.

The big day countdown has begun and the elves are in a panic.  These little handmade fabric sachets we found on We Are Scout might be just the last-minute project to finish the "to do" list.  Make several as stocking stuffers for the whole gang.

Got any orphan blocks lingering in the studio?  Use them to save yourself even more time by substituting Alex's tutorial for making a pincushion (Show 1008), but instead of crushed walnut shells, use the filling suggestions from the WeAreScout tutorial.

Have you seen this exhibit at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah? It's called "Red, White & Quilted" and you better hurry as it is only there until January 12, 2016.

The National Quilt Museum • 215 Jefferson • Paducah, KY 42001 • 270-442-8856

Here's the info:

The 2012 editorial team at AQS Publishing recognized the renewed interest in visually exciting classic quilt patterns generated by the exhibit of collector Joanna S. Rose's 650 antique red-and-white quilts in New York City, May 2011.

Happily we had our own AQS author/collector of antique red-and-white quilts in the person of Ann M. Hazelwood, past president of The National Quilt Museum's board.

Senior editor Linda Bazter Lasco volunteered to make 12 quilts based on quilts in Ann's collection and to write patterns to accompany the quilts. Executive editors Andi Reynolds and Elaine Brelsford recruited eight of AQS Publishing's quilting authors to do the quilting.
