Join Nina McVeigh, BERNINA Educator and Quilting and Longarm Specialist. She will be your host for our new Block of the Month party at WeAllSew. Join Nina in creating this beautiful quilt one block at a time. She designed the BERNINA Block Party quilt to not only help you improve your piecing skills, but also as a way to showcase quilting techniques.

How it All Works

On the first Monday of each month, a new block will be posted with piecing instructions. The blocks vary in size and some months you may have to make three of the same block to create that month’s section. Save all of your fabrics from month to month as you will cut each month, but will need all remaining fabric for future months.

Ann writes, "Summer brings the most amazing flowers. One of my favorites are Sunflowers. They seem unlikely as blossoms, with enormous discs of seeds and vibrant petals. Their vibrancy seems to match the bright red gingham table cloths we used on picnics. It's as if they are summer’s smiles."

Star Members can see more of Ann's work in Show 2006: Engaging the Viewer with Line, Shape, and Gesture.

Ann writes, Curiosity is a trait we see among many members of the Animal Kingdom……and ducks are no exception. Drawn to the shiny and new, ducks will poke their bills in the darnest places. This lime green, blue and orange duck couldn’t stay put, deciding to poke at the corner of my quilt. Curious Duck indeed!
