TheQuiltShow.com sponsored a special exhibit of Sue Garman's quilts. Some of the quilts had a number to call to get further information about the quilt. It's fun. We have included several below for you to try. You will get a taste of the variety of quilts Sue produced. We assume Sunday is the last day you can call, so call right away. We will have more on Sue's quilts in the coming weeks.

Forest Flowers is made almost entirely on canvas. Only the borders are fabric. Michele painted the entire piece and then "went to town" on her Innova adding the wonderful stitching.

The 2018 BOM: "The Patchwork Barn Quilt"

by Edyta Sitar

Join us on a TQS exclusive 12-month creative journey along America’s back country roads as we bring you "The Patchwork Barn Quilt," a fabulous quilt designed especially for TQS by Edyta Sitar. A spectacular sampler quilt featuring a barn nestled among rows of ‘crops’ (blocks). Edyta’s design inspiration was the result of observing the wide variety of quilt blocks painted on the side of barns while traveling across the country.

Known for her love of colorfully elegant scrap quilts, Edyta has this time used her magic touch by combining a wide variety of blue and cream fabrics set against a neutral background. The resulting design is a stunning, but quieter, scrap quilt that is sure to be a family favorite for generations to come. Each month we will provide photos, detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, and full-size patterns.

Judy Ahlborn grew up surrounded by a family of artists. It’s no wonder with her love of painting, sewing, and computers, she ended up with a degree in Textiles and Technology. After her retirement from a career in computer science, she came back to art by creating collage style quilts using software to create background fabric which she layers and paints with thread.

In the After Set, Judy shows us her other talent as she demonstrates the acrobatics that she keeps up with to this day.

And follow along with the TQS cameras as Ricky and Justin share their town of La Veta, Colorado.

Star Members can watch Show 2110: Creating Collage and Fabric with Your Computer, when it debuts Sunday, Nov 5, 2017.

Here are the close-ups we promised. Look for how Janet goes the extra mile in her Garden Variety Sampler quilt. She may have quilted small circles in a space and the rest of us would have stopped at that, but she finished it with small feathers. Look for all the finishing around the pieces with cording or sparkle thread. Or look for the small quilted flowers in the leaves. Take your time and enjoy (and steal borrow ideas for your next quilt)! To see the full quilt, click here.
