TQS Daily Blogs have occasionally featured the work of Melinda Bula over the past year or so. Her work has been doing very well at shows and we are proud to announce that Melinda visited Alex and Ricky in La Veta this past March during the recent tapings and she will be a guest on an upcoming show. Melinda won two awards in Paducah. The quilt pictured here is called Monterey at Dusk and you can see by the famous AQS dogwood blossom ribbon it won first in Small Wall Quilts: Pictorial. The colors and the refelctions on the water are executed with excellence. This is one art quilt sure to inspire. Congratulations Melinda!

When we think of Paducah, we think of Caryl Bryer Fallert. Watch the slideshow, then go to her website and read the stories about the quilts. From quilts about South Africa, to her father the watch maker, the background to each quilt is fun and fascinating. The music is from the CD "Sounds of Wood & Steel" played by Laurence Juber and is titled "Liquid Amber." Visit Caryl's site Bryerpatch Studio at www.bryerpatch.com.

Pam Holland, the traveling quilter, recently visited Israel.  She brings us a collection of images and views through quilts, textiles, pottery, jewelry and clothing.  As usual she sees designs and colors all around her.  And now you will see them too.

Here we capture just some of the great 1st Quilts shown in our Show & Tell. Take some time to look through the quilts in the Show & Tell area, because every quilt has a story. We think Kenny Loggins had just the right sentiment for the slideshow. Enjoy.

Ricky and Justin are attending the 25th anniversary show for the American Quilter's Society in Paducah, Kentucky. Ricky was able to take these shots of the stunning Best of Show quilt. It is called Renaissance Revival. It is made by Mariya Waters from Australia. Mariya was able to make it to the show and so everyone here is thrilled to meet her. The quilt took 4 and a half years to make. The applique is outlined by hand with a decorative thread. The same outline is also couched on the back with the same decorative thread. Our TQS hats are off to Mariya on this sensational quilt.
