Ammonites are the extinct relatives of sea creatures, such as the modern Nautilus from Palau. That should give you some idea of what this interesting quilt by Kim Lacy is all about. How many do you think she has on this quilt?

Watch Kim and learn more about it in Show 2606.

A lot has happened recently and Alex tells how this has affected TheQuiltShow.com and its taping schedule. She also tells about how she is going to be online more, talking and teaching as we stay home, stay safe, and sew. (We are still new to the LIVE process and working to get it under control.) Don't worry if you are not on Facebook, we are showing it also on YouTube and will post the videos here. Watch our newsletters to stay up to date.

Antelope Canyon is Kim's interpretation of the natural phenomenon in Arizona. It was strip pieced with dupioni silk and satin. It was the first large quilt that Kim attempted. Watch the After Set of Show 2606 to find out what the whole story is behind the quilt.

In this final video of this Way Out West Series, I end up in my final destination, Reno, where the biggest cribbage tournament is held. I also show how to create a quick art quilt to hold my jewelry in place while I travel. Thank you so much for joining me in my journey and allowing me to share my experiences with you! The next series will start in the summer when I get back on the road to? Your guess is as good as mine!

Carson Converse's quilt, Untitled 2-2019, was inspired by a traditional drunkard's path block. The curves are more organic and uneven to match the look of quick hand-drawn sketches. Four thread colors were used to layer additional patterning on top of the design.
