One of the many highlights of the 2017 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show was the exhibit sponsored by Cherrywood Fabrics and Disney Theatrical of The Lion King. This was the second challenge by Cherrywood Fabrics. Each participant was given 2 fabrics...gold and black, in which they must use 60% in the quilt, but in addition were allowed to accent with other Cherrywood Fabrics. All quilts were to be 20 x 20 inches. They received 304 quilts, which were judged, and the chosen 120 have been in a traveling exhibit.
Jeff Omodt, who is a Board Member of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, worked hard to secure exhibit space for this fabulous display and also dressed up and greeted viewers! 20 quilts have been selected to be on display in the theater for the 20th Anniversary celebration of The Lion King! I hope you enjoy this preview and check out a future video of the entire display on The Quilt Roadies!
