It's nice when a Master Quilter and Best of Show Winner does your Raffle Quilt. Here is the Raffle quilt by Janet Stone. This One's Four Ewe was quilted by Laurie Tigner. (Yes we bought tickets.)
TheQuiltShow.com sponsored a special exhibit of Sue Garman's quilts. Some of the quilts had a number to call to get further information about the quilt. It's fun. We have included several below for you to try. You will get a taste of the variety of quilts Sue produced. We assume Sunday is the last day you can call, so call right away. We will have more on Sue's quilts in the coming weeks.
Meet Edyta Sitar (Shows 802, 1112, and upcoming 2201), the creator of the fabulous 2018 BOM The Patchwork Barn Quilt. As an author, quilter, and designer, Edyta Sitar is proud to carry on a family tradition that fabric and threads have stitched together through the generations. Her true love of quilting shines through as she travels the world sharing her passion, connecting to and inspiring quilters of all skill levels with stimulating stories about the quilts she makes.
As the co-owner and co-founder of Laundry Basket Quilts, her work has been published in books and magazines worldwide. Edyta resides in Los Angeles, California with her husband and children. There she creates her beautiful, award-winning quilts, patterns, and her splendid fabric designs for Andover Fabrics.
Forest Flowers is made almost entirely on canvas. Only the borders are fabric. Michele painted the entire piece and then "went to town" on her Innova adding the wonderful stitching.
Star Members can watch Michele at work in Show 2109: Inventive Products & Binding Unusually Shaped Quilts.

Join us on a TQS exclusive 12-month creative journey along America’s back country roads as we bring you "The Patchwork Barn Quilt," a fabulous quilt designed especially for TQS by Edyta Sitar. A spectacular sampler quilt featuring a barn nestled among rows of ‘crops’ (blocks). Edyta’s design inspiration was the result of observing the wide variety of quilt blocks painted on the side of barns while traveling across the country.
Known for her love of colorfully elegant scrap quilts, Edyta has this time used her magic touch by combining a wide variety of blue and cream fabrics set against a neutral background. The resulting design is a stunning, but quieter, scrap quilt that is sure to be a family favorite for generations to come. Each month we will provide photos, detailed directions for a portion of the quilt, and full-size patterns.
Congratulations to...
Kitty Allison!

"Since my first visit to Japan, I've been in love with the playfulness of Japanese prints. Patricia Belyea assembles fabrics in fresh yet simple arrangements, some of them wonderfully quirky. The book is elegantly styled and should inspire reads to experiement with colour." - Kaffe Fassett

Here are the close-ups we promised. Look for how Janet goes the extra mile in her Garden Variety Sampler quilt. She may have quilted small circles in a space and the rest of us would have stopped at that, but she finished it with small feathers. Look for all the finishing around the pieces with cording or sparkle thread. Or look for the small quilted flowers in the leaves. Take your time and enjoy (and steal borrow ideas for your next quilt)! To see the full quilt, click here.
