Looking to kill some time and trying to avoid bad weather, a TQS member decided to visit the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland, Ohio. Imagine her surprise when a fascinating exhibit entitled, Wow Factor: 150 Years of Collecting Bold Clothes, just happened to be on display. And, what should be part of that exhibit, but Audrey Hepburn's Wedding Dress...she was married in Switzerland, what was it doing in Cleveland?

This Mini Supply Organizer by Yazzii is ideal for every-day, and its small size allows you to carry it by itself or slip it into a larger handbag or a tote bag.

The Yazzii Quilting Carry-All is just the right size for gatherings and retreats, and the extra-long handles make it easy to carry on a shoulder when your arms are full.

The Large Mat Carrier by Yazzii is a great solution for toting those unwieldy cutting mats and rulers to gatherings, classes and retreats

The Yazzii Sewing Machine Mat keeps all of your tools organized and in easy reach. When you are ready to go to a class or retreat, slip the mat out from under your sewing machine, fold it up, and fasten with the velcro tab. Voila - your tools are neatly packed and ready to go.

Katie took a picture of her "The Color of Infinity" quilt (you remember, the one she cut up on Show 1807: Fearless Quilting) and ran it through a software program to create this latest iteration of her original design that she calls "Mandelbrot in Wonderland."

Katie Fowler writes about her quilting, "I made my first quilt in 1996. I quickly accepted my disinterest in and inability to follow directions and began making “art” quilts as a result. I am about having fun, letting go of rules and finding joy in the creative process. I believe creativity is about connection: to self, to others, and to a higher creativity." Here she shares some of those "art" quilts.

The blog of the Center for Women’s History at the New-York Historical Society highlights exhibitions, programs, and education while promoting women’s history through original research, interviews, and guest posts. Here is an interesting essay from that blog by Valerie Paley that appears in Walk this Way: Footwear from the Stuart Weitzman Collection of Historic Shoes, the catalog that accompanies the exhibition of the same name, Walk this Way, which recently opened.

Tiffany talks about her quilt and how it was inspired through the Facebook group, "Quilt Design a Day."

Here's what Facebook says about the group:

The challenge is to spend a little time (15-30 minutes) every day designing a quilt. To help with getting started, choose one of the two daily design-seeds.com inspiration images and make a top inspired by the photo, using the palette that goes with it.

"Go Tell It at the Quilt Show!" is a Quilt Alliance project designed to capture the stories of quilts where quiltmakers gather. This interview was filmed at QuiltCon in Savannah, Georgia in February 2017.

Are you a Quilt Alliance member? You should be! Join, renew or make a $30 donation to help support the Quilt Alliance and you’re on your way to winning a beautiful Aurifil thread collection! Drawing on April 30.

We love this quilt by Cheryl Kerestes called "Pear Drops". The quality of the work is impressive, there are a variety of techniques, and it just isn't anything we expected. It is 80"x80" and has Hand Appliqué, Beading, Hand Embroidery, & Machine Piecing. It was quilted on a Stationary Machine using Free-Motion Quilting.  You will love the close ups of this quilt. Take a look...
