Deb Crine's quilt, Great Blue, won Best Wall Quilt at AQS QuiltWeek Virginia Beach. The quilt was painted on silk and then quilted with silk thread. It's so realistic, you can almost hear it rustling in the reeds.

Great Blue also won Best Wall Quilt at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival XXIX Imagine Quilt Competition 2018.

Debra Nicklaus used Sue Garmen's Halo Medallion Pattern from the TQS BOM 2017 and had it quilted by Angela McCorkle. Sue's Halo won BOS at the Capital of Texas Quiltfest.

Debra writes, "I'm so excited and grateful for the support I received on your website. This is the first BOM I attempted. It was a learning opportunity and a real skill builder. Sue wrote beautiful patterns with great instructions. She will be missed."

Congratulations to Sandy Curran and her quilt, I Hope You Dance, which won 1st Place in Wall Quilts - Fiber Art Category at AQS QuiltWeek® – Virginia Beach, Virginia 2018. There is so much movement in the quilt, you'll want to dance with her.

Sandy writes:
"Sometimes my quilts are cathartic, a way to exorcise the pain and fears in life. Sometimes my work is an expression of my joy in the things I love."

Paula grew up in Brazil and the name Aquarela Do Brasil translates as Brazilian Watercolor. She created the quilt to remind her of a perfect day at Iguazú Falls.
