When you think of Sue Garman you're never sure what kind of quilt you're going to get. Ladies of the Sea, for example, is a Baltimore Album quilt "and each corner of the quilt has a Mariner's Compass on it." Featured at Houston 2017 in her own Sue Garman Exhibit"Ladies of the Sea celebrates some of the greatest ships that sailed the oceans of the world. There are 16 blocks with ships appliquéd on them - and each ship is surrounded by a wreath of vines, branches, or flowers from the ship's native land." With great hand appliqué and embroidery, Sue guides you to another bountiful beauty.

Ladies of the Sea by Sue Garman of Friendswood, Texas was featured in the Sue Garman Exhibit at Houston 2017.

Saw this in an exhibit at the New England Quilt Museum in fall of 2019. A wonderful quilt also with other Sue Garman quilts, including Afternoon Delight. I must say I almost wept.

Fantastic quilt, but the zoom feature would have been a great asset! That would have allowed us to,see more of the quilt close up! This quilt deserves that!

One of the best, most interesting, Baltimores I've seen.
The variations in the borders, while maintaining unity, indicate Sue's extraordinary skill. Too many Balts have rubber-stamped borders & corners.
