It is common to say that opposites attract. The same can be said for quilting when the two fabrics you didn't like somehow look amazing together. Magnetic Attraction by Gail Stepanek and Jan Hutchison puts that theory into practice. "Four paper-pieced Compass blocks that didn't "play well" with the others were cast aside for over a year until they found this new home." I cannot see why these fabrics don't match.
Pink green and purple are a common colour scheme.
