Rosa Rojas didn't like traditional appliqué techniques, so she invented her own way and her own tools. Alex has come to love this approach. Here's how it works.

It's snowing here in Michigan.
Good day to sew.

What's wrong with saying "you guys"? It's friendly and informal, and I like it!

Thanks for all the tips and for your upbeat attitude. I have enjoyed watching and also want you to know that my heart goes out to you over the loss of your mom. Stay strong.
Also...good grief Alex.
Keep saying "you guys", it's something you have always said and now suddenly someone is all sensitive about it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying it.
They have the problem, not you.

When using this glue stick, must you wash the finished quilt?

Your said the measurements were 32 x 40. Every quilt kit I have ever made had listed the vertical first and horizontal second so I have started with the shorter side vertically. Now you say it goes the other way. I thought it went the other way and actually started making the the vertical the long way but changed it last night. I guess now I have to take 9 rows apart and add on to the ends.

Where can I get refills for the clue stick. I have made many hexes and I need more glue.

Would it be a good thing to quilt the background and then put the applique on, or would that cause a different issue?

I am orienting it with dirt in bottom and sky on top.
