Orlanda Miner took the TQS 2017 Block of the Month, The Halo Medallion quilt by Sue Garman, and made some changes to create her own spectacular Little Birds Medallion. Containing 3300 pieces, Orlanda's quilt was featured at PIQF 2019 and utilizes machine piecing and longarm machine quilting to great effect. You won't be able to take your eyes off the medallion, but can you spot the birds hiding throughout?

Little Birds Medallion by Orlanda Miner of Grass Valley, California was featured in the Traditional category at the Pacific International Quilt Festival (PIQF) 2019.

This is stunning. Exceptional use of the bird print of Tim Holtz? The balance is lovely.
