Kathy McNeil - "Celtic Fox" a Houston 2017 Quilt

Kathy McNeil's (Show 1802) Celtic Fox "symbolizes a need to think quickly, to employ cleverness and wisdom." The cunningness of the fox, which "comes from "kenning" meaning to know and understand" is represented beautifully in Kathy's hand appliqué and machine embroidery. Winning First Place in the Art-Whimsical category at Houston 2017, this is one dashing fox.

I think this is one of my all time favorites of all the quilts I've seen in the last 25 years. It is outstanding. The animals all look so intelligent.
